TELEPHONE COMMITTEE

The Telephone Committee answers the Central Office phones after regular business hours. TheTelephone Committee consists of a Chairperson, Captains and Shift Volunteers.

Chairperson

Qualifications :

Suggested three (3) years sobriety.

Term of Office

One Year and eligible for successive terms.

Duties:

  • Recruits additional committee members as needed.
  • Holds Telephone Committee meetings as needed.
  • Coordinates schedules for Captains and Shift Volunteers.
  • Discusses status and volunteers needed at Intergroup.
  • Presents proposals with any financial impact to the Business Committee.

Captain

Qualifications:

Suggested two (2) years sobriety.

Term of Office

One Year and eligible for successive terms.

Duties:

  • Coordinates schedules for phone volunteers when Central Office is closed.
  • Coordinates volunteers for at least one day every week
  • May answer phones as a volunteer.

Shift Volunteer

Qualifications:

Suggested one (1) year sobriety.

Term of Office

One Year and eligible for successive terms.

Duties:

  • Answers phones at least one shift per month when Central Office is closed.
  • Provides meeting information to callers and/or connects callers with a 12-Stepper from the 12-Step Call List.
